Whether you’re learning French for personal growth or preparing for an exam, Françoise, a native French tutor, designs courses with a focus on fun and interactive learning. Classes are offered both via Zoom and face-to-face in Market Harborough, UK. You can also follow them at your own pace via the tutorials (Plan Blanc or Rouge). Please note that I don’t provide examinations.
Beginner Level
This is a level with emphasis on basic conversation for those with little or no knowledge of French (when starting Beginner Course 1).
Beginner plus Level
To join this level, you should have learnt French for at least 50h and be familiar with grammatical structures in the present tense.
At the end of the level, you will have started to speak in the past using the perfect tense.
Intermediate Level
You should have learnt French for at least 100h to start this level and understand the French present and perfect tenses.
At the end of this level, you will have extended your conversational skills using the past tenses (perfect + imperfect) and the future (will).
Intermediate plus Level
At least 150h of French classes is necessary to start this level.
You need a good understanding of the basic French tenses (present, perfect, imperfect, future).
This level is perfect for you if you aim to improve your French to socialise/deal more with French natives.
Advanced
This level focuses on conversation and culture for those who have completed the previous levels or have studied French for at least four-five years.
A progressive approach is used to master the subjunctive tense.
Students will also learn to express their opinions and ideas with more precision.
Conversation
These classes are aimed at students with at least 7 to 8 years experience with the language (upper-intermediate to advanced)
Bespoke
Specific topics can be covered on request; examples have included extra tuition for those moving abroad, preparing a wedding speech, focusing on business French, or sitting for exams (Common entrance, GCSE, AS- and A2-levels).
