Bonjour! I’m Françoise Gibbison, a native French tutor based in the UK since 1996.
In 2012, I transitioned from a career in science to follow my passion for languages, earning my Certificate in Language Teaching to Adults from Goldsmiths, University of London.
Since then, I’ve helped adults and teenagers build confidence and succeed in French through interactive, flexible courses aligned with CEFR levels. I also create tailored resources for UK exams, including Common Entrance and GCSE, ensuring lessons suit individual goals and learning styles.
I teach in person in Market Harborough and online worldwide.
To support learning beyond lessons, I run a growing collection of over 1,200 video tutorials paired with learner and teacher packs—ideal for independent study and classroom use alike.
As a language learner myself (currently learning Spanish!), I understand the challenges and frustrations involved. That’s why empathy, enthusiasm, and encouragement are at the heart of my teaching.
